Dear Barry,

Congratulations! Great achievement! Have you by any chance heard anything
about re-hab or replacement for Orr's Bridge in Hampden Twp, Cumberland
County? It has a very low sufficiency rating and now the bolts which are supposed to hold the guard rails to the bridge, don't even touch the bridge in
places any more!
The guard rails have huge holes which have rusted through! Any idea on how to get the Twp. and County Commissioners interested? I've been trying for several years! Best wishes...hope to hear from you...Sandra J. Whittaker, Hampden Twp.Cumberland County

PennDOT deserves alot of credit for delivering this project on time and budget. This ARRA project became the symbol for ARRA projects in this region after the old structure was visited by Governor Rendell and Vice-President Biden. Congratulations to Gibson Thomas, the designer, and JD Eckman, the contractor, for meeting the tight schedule. Michael Maker Jr, Inc. is very proud to have played a role by serving as PennDOT's construction manager/inspector on site.

I was the PennDOT Construction Manager on this project and I was proud to be part of a project that helps promote jobs and opportunities.
I was even more honored to have met and talked with our Vice-President of the United States.
I still believe we should change the name of this bridge to be the "BIDEN BRIDGE"
Thanks for the chance to reply and I was proud to be part of this endeavor.
