PennDOT lets $47 million in November

November 24, 2010

The state Department of Transportation (PennDOT) put out just over $47 million in projects in November bringing the year-to-date letting total to just above $1.7 billion.  To date, the department has let a total of 796 projects.   PennDOT also released its 2011 forecast.

PennDOT will likely exceed their anticipated 2010 letting goal of $1.8 billion with an aggressive planned December letting schedule.  The department recently announced at the annual APC/PennDOT Fall Seminar in Hershey, Pa. that their 2011 forecast is $1.7 billion in construction lettings.  To put into perspective, PennDOT’s lettings were $2.8 billion in 2009 due to the billion dollars in economic stimulus funds.
