Turnpike CEO Roger Nutt resigns

October 10, 2012

Pennsylvania Turnpike CEO Roger Nutt has announced he is leaving his post at the end of this month for health reasons.

Nutt, 72, was named CEO in March 2011. Turnpike COO Craig Shuey, a PHIA board member, will serve as acting CEO until a permanent replacement is named.

Nutt, PA Turnpike CEO, will resign effective at the end of the month

Nutt previously held various positions at New Jersey transportation agencies for 28 years, including serving as executive director of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, the New Jersey Highway Authority and the New Jersey Transit Corporation.

He leaves as the Turnpike is moving toward a fully automated tolling system. His tenure also has included expansion of the toll road’s capital improvement program.
