The coalition, launched in September, includes public and private partners from 10 counties with a goal of connecting people and ideas with one another through transportation. The coalition reached out to 700 organizations, including school districts, labor unions, private employers and diversity advocacy organizations, to collect feedback on what needed to be done to improve transportation.

Trillium to build, operate CNG facilities for PennDOT
Trillium CNG, Love’s Travel Stops compressed natural gas company, Monday was awarded a 20-year public-private partnership contract by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) under which Trillium will design, build, operate and maintain 29 compressed natural gas (CNG) facilities in Pennsylvania.

PennDOT Secretary Leslie Richards made the announcement during a media event at Johnston, Pennsylvania.

Lehigh Valley Planners attend national transportation meetings
The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) Thursday night heard a report from planning commission staffers on their attendance at US Department Transportation meetings held Feb. 29 in Washington, D.C.

LVPC members were invited to participate in the development of a national freight transportation plan.
