Gov. Wolf signs construction zone speed cameras bill
Gov. Tom Wolf signed a bill today which creates a five-year pilot project to place speed cameras in some highway construction zones. The bill is aimed at protecting highway construction workers from speeding motorists.
Addressing the Commonwealth’s transportation needs
Pennsylvania’s transportation secretary came to Luzerne County Thursday to talk about the status of the Commonwealth’s transportation system. Secretary Leslie Richards met with members of a group called “NEPA Moves.”
I-99 road work nearing completion
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said on Thursday that work on a 3-mile stretch of Interstate 99 is expected to conclude by the night of Thursday, Oct. 25.
Rafferty Wins Transit Award
State Sen. John Rafferty Jr., the chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, has been awarded the American Public Transportation Association’s 2018 State Distinguished Service Award, in recognition of the senator’s leadership in the passage of Act 89 of 2013.
