PennDOT accepting applications under Multimodal Transportation Fund
PennDOT today announced that applications will be accepted to fund new transportation improvement projects under the Multimodal Transportation Fund through Nov. 6.
PA lawmakers may enact stiffer penalties for violating state traffic law
The Move Over bill makes updates to the state’s existing Steer Clear law. The bill would affect any driver who comes upon an incident that is in the road or on the side of it. The driver has to move over.
PennDOT data shows Pennsylvania roundabouts reducing fatalities, injuries and crashes
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced that fatalities, injuries, and crashes decreased overall at 22 roundabouts at 19 locations after they were built, according to department data.
Inclined Plane rehab back on track
Propelled with a $500,000 Save America’s Treasures grant and resolution of a state-funding glitch, the $6.4 million rehabilitation of Johnstown Inclined Plane is back on track.
PennDOT extends expiration dates
PennDOT announced that in response to statewide COVID-19 mitigation efforts, expiration dates for commercial driver licenses and commercial learner’s permits will be extended for Pennsylvania residents through Sept. 30.
