Senator Wonderling to Chair Transportation Committee
Sen. Rob Wonderling, R-Lansdale, has been named majority chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, replacing Sen. Roger Madigan, R-Towanda, upon his retirement.
Wonderling, a senator since 2002, begins this assignment with considerable familiarity with transportation issues, having served as a deputy transportation secretary in the Ridge administration.
“Senator Wonderling brings considerable experience and insight to this role and was an excellent choice from the industry’s perspective,” said Bob Latham, APC executive vice president and spokesman for the Transportation Construction Industries coalition. “It appears that this committee will be at the center of some very important public policy work in the next legislative session, and we look forward to a constructive relationship.”
