State budget passes; bridge, highway and transit funding fall short
Associated Pennsylvania Constructors is relieved that the state budget has finally passed, allowing overdue payments to vendors and contractors to resume. However, this budget does little to resolve the larger, ongoing challenges facing Pennsylvania’s transportation system. Highway and transit funding remain urgent issues, and it is critical that Pennsylvania prioritize sustainable, dedicated investments in its transportation network to ensure safety, reliability and economic competitiveness.
