Construction to be suspended on Turnpike, 3 million drivers expected over Labor Day
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission said construction projects will be suspended, as it expects nearly 3 million drivers to hit the road over the holiday weekend. The PA Turnpike said it projects 2.9 million customers will be on the PA Turnpike system between Thursday, Sept. 3 and Monday, Sept. 7, a 1.2% increase compared to 2025 volumes.
